ConstruSteel Looks Back on a Successful Steel Construction Day 2026

Last week on the 8th of October 2026, ConstruSteel attended Steel Construction Day 2026 at the AFAS Theater in Leusden, the Netherlands. The event brought together professionals from across the steel construction industry for a day of networking, knowledge sharing and discussions about the future of the sector.

Smarter Digital Collaboration with SCSN

Throughout the day, ConstruSteel spoke with customers, industry professionals and partners about the opportunities offered by SCSN (Smart Connected Supplier Network) and how digital collaboration can improve everyday processes for steel fabricators.

SCSN enables standardized and secure data exchange between companies and software systems. For steel fabricators, this creates opportunities to streamline collaboration with steel suppliers and other supply chain partners, place material orders digitally and exchange information directly between systems.

By reducing manual data entry, companies can minimize the risk of errors, improve efficiency and create a more connected supply chain.

At ConstruSteel, we are committed to translating these digital developments into practical solutions that help steel fabricators optimize their processes and work more efficiently.

ConstruSteel Receives SCSN Connected Recognition

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of SCSN Connected recognition to ConstruSteel. Eric Bakker from SupplyDrive presented the recognition to Jos Bonte, marking ConstruSteel’s connection to the SCSN network for digital data exchange.

This is an important step towards enabling more seamless information exchange between steel fabricators, suppliers and connected software systems.

By connecting business processes and reducing the need for manual data handling, we aim to help steel construction companies collaborate more effectively throughout the supply chain.

Connecting the Steel Construction Industry

Beyond the conversations at our stand, Steel Construction Day offered opportunities to exchange knowledge and explore developments across the industry, including through the conference programme and breakout sessions.
